There is no shame in admitting when you are wrong. There is no shame in realizing a mistake and trying to fix it. I don’t know why everyone is too prideful to acknowledge problematic behavior, apologize and try to fix it but there is no room to grow unless you do that. You are never going to grow into the beautiful, intelligent, caring and mindful person you want yourself to be until you start acknowledging what’s holding you back from that.
Okay…as happy as I am that Storm is
in another x-men movie…just no. I was able to grasp at her being bad for a while, which she might actually being controlled like how Magneto sounded in the trailer, but not this.
The fact that they made her born with black hair just…NO! This gets rid of her whole background, being a descendant from a line of African priestesses who all have white hair, blue eyes, and the potential to weild magic. It just shows how little they care for these characters, or how little knowledge they have of them.
They also got rid of her being worshiped as a goddess for a while. I mean come on…you know how cool it would be if Apocalypse woke and was told of this mutant who can control the weather, then shows Storm on her “throne” making it rain for the villagers. And then takes control of her yadda yadda. I don’t know, that’s how I pictured she would be introduced and it would have been waayy better than still being a theif at age…what 18-20?
